“I felt my lungs inflate with the onrush of scenery—air, mountains, trees, people. I thought, ‘This is what it is to be happy.” – Sylvia Plath

I love nature and lets be honest I am never going to live in a big city again. The old me so desperately wanted to live in London especially when I was younger. However I ended up in Hong Kong for 7 years! 7 years it never seemed that long but it actually was a huge amount of time to live in concrete and tiny apartments. I need SPACE and rooms to walk into!

The last few weeks I have learnt just to surrender to what will be, will be. I am letting go of expectations and ideals and seeing what unfolds. However I know space, nature, creativity and my health are the most important factors in my life. Who knows where I will end up and that exciting!

I know clean fresh air, delicious food, the wind, the sounds of nature it fills my heart. I am the most happiest when I am one with nature. I am so excited and grateful to be returning to Labastide-Esparbairenque and La Muse Artist Retreat in France next month – one of my many happy places on this earth.

“If it weren’t for the rocks in its bed, the stream would have no song.” – Carl Perkins
