Vegan Orange, Walnut and Chocolate Balls of Joy
Taking an old recipe and fine tuning it into a new recipe. Last week Mum and Dad bought home a HUGE bag of walnuts! So I added orange and chocolate to the mix and now you have all three of my favourite ingredients in one recipe. Adding half a cup of
hemp protein gives it an extra punch and adding about 30 grams of protein!
Vegan Orange, Walnut and Chocolate Balls of Joy
The dry stuff:
1 cup Almond Meal/Flour
- ½ cup Hemp Protein
- 1/4 cup Cacao Powder
- 1/2 cup chopped Walnuts
- 1 tsp Vanilla powder
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- ½ tsp Nutmeg
- The zest of one organic orange
- 1/4 cup of hemp seeds and shredded coconut for coating
Then add the wet stuff:
- 1/3 cup Coconut Oil
- 2 ½ tbs Maple Syrup or Pure Harvest Rice Malt Syrup (THE BEST)
- 3 tbs Orange Juice
- Mix all together!
- Divided mixture into a 12 good size balls and coat in hemp seeds and coconut
- Refrigerate for about 30 mixtures (They taste so much better)
